outdoors in early spring

As is obvious, I have neglected my blog for the past couple of months. Spring has been a busy time for me and the internet has fallen down the priority list; however, I like to keep up with my pictures and update the blog for my faithful readers (what dear people come to mind!). I hope to do a little catching up here in the near future.


For starters, here are a few pictures of early spring. A lot of them were taken for fun while riding around where I live, and while following on the heels of Neil and Opal.
My appreciation and love for the southern landscape continues to grow as I get older.

One of my newer hobbies: bringing the outside in by creating terrariums from little plantlings I find in the woods.

  4. That one with the very small, delicate pink flower, that's mountain laurel, right? There's bunches of that in NC where we go for our family reunion and I picked a bunch for the table, and my uncle said it was mountain laurel!
    They're all so pretty!!!

  5. How loverly. I love all of the different sorts of lighting techniques you are doing! It has been a lovely Spring. I'm glad you got a picture of Lakeview as well! We both had our sister-psyche when that was in bloom. ;) And I know what you mean about the internet getting at the lower end of the priority list...

    1. I know! Isn't it cute? Man's best friend. She doesn't show the daring that Joy did and is a lot more cautious and won't do something unless she wants to. However, she is also really athletic and spunky and has a lot of good qualities. It's really neat to see the differences while doing the same things.
